I've just moved house and it's been almost 3 weeks since the engineer came out to try and install the Fibre 900 package, due to this still not being done I contacted BT and managed to get them to sort me out a slower package in the meantime.
This temporary connection has stated speeds of 71.455 Mbps on the router page but only manages about 5-20mpbs which is bearable. However the latency isn't. When gaming the latency spikes makes any gaming unplayable. Doing a speedtest on http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest it get's graded an F.
Now as this is a temporary line i'm not overly concerned, however I'm worried this will still be an issue once (if) the Full Fibre is installed, which in that case it would be completely unsuitable for me.
My question is will Full Fibre still suffer from these latency issues?
Simple answer. No.
