I've been a customer for years and had a stable connection. However the speed over the years has declined 72Mbps to 60mbps and still dropping while upload stayed at 20Mbps
This into a vigor 130.
Anyway after virgin ignored and failed to correct a fault I decided to have a 2nd broadband connection.
The engineer came and instead of putting a 2nd line in used the existing line.
The speed came back at 60mbps and 14mbps on the BT hub and when I switched to the Vigor 130.
A week later the 2nd line had dropped to 10mbs and has stayed there.
Recently the original feed has started having more disconnections I used to go up 400 hours plus. I've noticed the speed has now dropped again to 53Mbps.
The line test is quiet.
Since I'm using 130's I can produce much in the way of stats except the snr 6db which seems a bit low.
I can plug the BT Hub back in if need be however do I need to contact BT about the declining speeds? Or wait until it goes down below 47Mbps?
have you turned of smart setup

Hi I'm not using the BT Hub so no smart connect. Had to reduce the size of the image as the original file was too large.
as you can see from checker the estimated range for your line in 68/52mb with handback at 47mb and from checker you connection speed on 31/5 was 60.6mb so well within expected range
What about upload speeds on the broadband line which are 9999Mbps
I guess I'll have to wait for it to drop below 47Mbps.
However is steadily declining.
Can you tell me of any ISP who guarantees upload speeds? Everything is centred on download. I think it's wrong too.
Upload speed now down to 9000 on the 2nd line.
Spoke to BT and they could see a lot of errors on the line so raised a fault.
He was also surprised they didn't actually supply a proper 2nd line rather than using the present line.
