Hi
My elderly disabled mother’s digital voice phone has suddenly stopped working and tells her she needs to register to the hub. However when following the instructions after pushing the WPS button on the hub for the required 2 seconds (and yes it is flashing blue) the phone says registering but after a short time says registration failed. Any ideas what to try please? I am trying to help her remotely as live 100 miles away. Obviously she needs her phone. Thanks
if you mother has the SH2 as base station and broadband can she go to hub manager enter or use link http://192.168.1.254/ then select her phone number shown on left (should be blue and not greyed out) then select reset base settings once done then try and register phone again by selecting start registration
Thanks. Not sure which hub she has but am visiting at the weekend so will find out and try what you suggest if she does have the SH2. She has only had it since March.
you currently need the SH2 if you have digital voice
In the Smart Hub 2 admin menu you first need to click the "Start Registration" button. This is accessed by clicking on your phone number on the Smart Hub 2 Home page.
The SmartHub 2 may well have received a firmware update recently, this sometimes causes the hub to mis-behave.
Your Mum could try unplugging the power for around 30 seconds and then power it back up
We’ve just had a new Smarthub 2 sent to replace a faulty one yesterday and everything fine except phone says no link to hub.Any ideas,as Bt online help only says make sure you’re using the original hub when digital voice was connected which we are obviously not now.
You'll likely just need to pair the cordless handsets to the new SH2 via the settings menu on the handset(s), and also pressing the WPS button on the rear of the hub for 2 seconds.
Every settings on the hub say no link to the hub when selected.
