Discs cycling from blue to red

I’ve had FTTP for 2 years and very happy. 3 discs placed around the house.

I had a problem last week where all discs went to red. Engineer suggested factory reset to hub and each disc re-paired. 40 minutes later all done and seems ok.

Last night all 3 discs went into a pattern of cycling from blue to red to blue. Disc would stay in red (or blue) for 3 or 4 minutes before returning to blue (or red).

Discs are in the same position as the previous two years. Nothing has changed.

Re-started router.. no change

Truly weird....

any suggestions?

thanks!

Re: Discs cycling from blue to red

Hi @Rmh56, welcome back, and thanks for posting. Sorry that you are having a problem with your Wifi discs.

Are you using the black Complete Wifi or white Whole Home Wifi discs?

cheers

John

Re: Discs cycling from blue to red

Hi @Rmh56, thanks for posting back.

Are you using wireless mode 1 on the hub?
If you haven't tried already can you factory reset both the Hub and discs using the pinhole button on the back then follow the setup process if that doesn't work you may have a faulty disc and let us know how you get on.

cheers

John

Re: Discs cycling from blue to red

Hi @JohnC2

ive just checked and it is type 1.

the hub and each disc was factory re-set on Friday when they’d all gone to red.

oddly, they’ve stopped cycling red/blue, so I’m loathe to touch them!
one thing I’ve noticed that I’d not seen before... when I look at the connected devices in the app (which is great by the way!), one of the discs lists 2 other discs as a connected device. The other 2 discs simply list the devices that they are connected to.

Could it have somehow got into a “deadly embrace” ? (Youngsters that’s a term we oldies used back in the day... 🧐)

thanks!
