Good evening,
I'm a pensioner with only a basic technical knowledge, so please go easy!
I'm looking to buy my first smartphone, but I know the signal inside my bungalow is non-existent, so I believe it must be compatible with Wi-Fi Calling to my BT Home Network.
If I buy a Doro 8080 from Amazon and a Sim only card from BT, will that work, please?

Hi @WorriedParent, welcome back and have a look at Learn About Wifi Calling and it does say "It's available to anyone with BT Mobile - whether you've got SIM only, a Family SIM or a BT Mobile phone plan. You'll need a compatible device with the latest software."
I can't answer if the Doro 8080 is a compatible device so you'll need to check this out so it would be best to check out with Doro to be sure it is compatible.
cheers
John
Hi @WorriedParent, thanks for replying. I've had a look at BT Wifi Calling and the Compatible Devices Link shows the Doro 8050 so I would expect that is a good sign. Just to be sure it would be best to call in (0800 800 150) and speak with the BT Mobile team and they'll be able to confirm if it will work ok.
cheers
John
