I have included images of my hubs stats along with the results from the bt broadband checker and it's much slower than it should be, anyone know any solutions?
Yes, I plugged into the master test socket and there is a dial tone
Dial 17070 and take the quiet line test and listen for any noise on the line ( best done with a corded phone if you have one ) ...any noise on the line, report the line as noisy.
Is your router normally connected in the master socket ?, if not try the router in the test port ( with a new filter if possible ) , post router stats to compare against the original stats you posted .
I have now done the quiet line test with a corded phone on both the master and test sockets and both times were dead silent.
My router is usually in the master socket and I have now tested the router on the test socket and the results are virtually the same.
There is something wrong with your line, or the way you have things connected up.
What does your master phone socket look like?
It looks like number 7

And do you have the phone plugged into the phone socket, and the home hub plugged directly into the broadband socket, with no microfilters in use?
Do you have any other phone sockets or phone extensions in the house?
I have both the phone and router directly connected to the master socket with no filters and I have no other phone sockets or extenders in the house
Has the hub been rebooting itself or have you been doing it in an attempt to improve the connection?
