Error message in email

E-mail inbox shows 1 e-mail. When I click on the update circle I get "Unexpected error" and the 1 e-mail notice remains. How do I avoid this?

I am sorry for the problems you're having reading the email in your inbox.  Are you getting this error when you're logged in to your email here? - Webmail

Yes, I'm on Webmail.

After I have deleted the last e-mail a number 1 stays in the inbox.

On pressing the"Refresh" symbol I get the "Unexpected error" message.

Irritating but it makes me wonder whether there is a message I have not read.

I shall be pleased if you can help!

In reply to your last message the number 1 still appears even though the inbox is empty.

When I press the  refresh symbol the "Unexpected error" message no longer appears but the number 1 is still there.

I can live with that, so don't bother further unless it annoys you too much!
