Extend time for Voicemail message

Is there any way to extend the time allowed for people leaving voicemail messages on my mobile? My friends like to leave long messages and keep getting cut off. With my old provider the time was much longer.

At a guess you'd use 1571 instead of the other voicemail numbers.

i.e. **61*1571**30#

Thanks for your reply. Apologies if my question was unclear - it’s not that I want to extend the ringing time, it’s that I want to extend the recording time for a voice message. Thanks.

Im not sure what you’re asking for is possible.

The maximum message length for the BT 1571 service is 2 minutes.
Perhaps that should be sufficient???

There are phone sets which can be configured to set other limits, but 1571feature has to be disabled. This gives a few complications, e.g: accessing your calls remotely.
