Re: IP camera

Hey, Keith, you have been so helpful today and I really appreciate it.

I'm going to try and get my CCTV working shortly. I'll wait until cam secure get back to me. Hopefully I won't have to do any more. But if we have to go down the Iris route, then I will seek your advice.

Check my website out. I'm assuming it's okay to pass on my personal website. I'm not selling anything, nor have I got any adverts on the website.

Well, you have the link now. So at least you can watch. I just need to get it online so everybody else can. I'm a little bit annoyed with cam secure because I think they could have been a little bit more enthusiastic to help me.

That is a blue **bleep** with an identity crisis. It thinks it's a woodpecker

I will not leave is on all the time, as streaming from the web uses a bit more CPU, and I like a PC to be quiet, without the CPU fan being audible.

Let me know how you get on with cam secure. You still have some time, but if it gets really late, then there is always Blue Iris.

Sorry I cannot help much with the DVR. I do know that a few forum members have posted about them in the past, mostly to do with remote viewing issues.

Re: IP camera

Its been an interesting challenge at my age, but its keeps my mind active, as do many of the other technical issues on this forum.

I will monitor this thread on my RSS feed, and look out for any progress updates from you.

Re: IP camera

Hi Keith,

Is it possible for you to put that link up again so I can show cam secure that everything is working?

Cheers for now

Try it now.

Blue Iris is doing much the same as Cam Secure, except they have better connectivity.

Re: IP camera

Sorry, I haven't got the link. Mind you, I don't think you want to leave it running, do you? I just wanted to prove to cam secure that there's nothing wrong with the settings and it should work.

The link was in an earlier post.

Here are the two viewers.

Or

I can limit the bandwidth, so just tell me when you are finished.

No password needed, just the user name demo

If I get too many users, I will add a password, and send it to you via private message.

Are you going to get them to stream the sound as well?
