During the last few weeks I have been continually losing my wi-fi connection. The connection drops out randomly for around an hour at a time. The line was checked and is fine, the router is fine, (I have tried 2 routers- one being brand new), the only other part is the BT Openreach modem - is this likely to be the fault. I have tried re-setting this but doesn't seem to do anything. Eventually the wi-fi just starts again - any ideas what it may be - I really need wi-fi for work

Re: Losing wifi connection
Are you losing WiFi or are you losing broadband? If you are losing WiFi it won't be a faulty modem. Does the DSL light on the modem change when you lose connectivity?

Re: Losing wifi connection
Have you tried changing channels, do you get any drop outs with a wired Ethernet connection.
Do you lose connection on all devices or just one?

Re: Losing wifi connection
I do have all my office PC's on ethernet, and lose connection on those as well. The signal is lost - the red light is on- on the router - and I cant get a signal on anything. Usually after around 1-2 hours it comes back on again, fo apparently no reason

Re: Losing wifi connection
So you are not losing WiFi, you are losing broadband. Which home hub do you have, if it is a HH 5 or later you don't need the modem unless you have FTTP and you are referring to an ONT.
