Your SNR is high because you are receiving the maximum speed possible 80M.
Yeah but i had the same in the upstairs flat and managed to get it lowered.
You are at the maximum speed for fibre 2. SNR figure is totally irrelevant.
Im not because my throughput is 71 meg. I did say!
Your sync speed is 80M, the maximum for fibre2, and governs the SNR figure. Throughput will always be lower than sync speed and has nothing to do with SNR.
Then how come when I got it lowered to 3db I hit 75 meg? I know what I’m after I’m sick of going around in circles!
I can assure you SNR is only related to sync speed and not throughput and as you are syncing at maximum speed it is totally irrelevant. It is impossible to lower it.
As @licquorice has said your noise margin is high at 8db and is correct as you have max connection speed of 80mb but a far higher attainable speed. You will not get a lower noise margin unless your difference in speed between actual and attainable reduces.
Sorry but that’s bs because 74 meg on 4db what I got in the flat upstairs last summer... same bloody junction box.
this is what frustrates me... lower the SNR. Job done.. what’s so hard about it!!
