Ping spikes, high jitter, low throughput

Hi all, 

The mods done some magic on my line before Christmas and it has been rock solid ever since with now drops and great stability.

However, the past 3/4 days I have been having a strange problem and was wondering would anybody know what could be causing it.

I am getting 30 minute/ 1 hour periods where my ping goes through the roof and very high jitter . Ping can climb to over 300 and jitter over 50. When the line is like this web pages etc won’t load and the net is unusable. This is now happening for extended periods each day and at different times of day, not necessarily at peak/busy times.

quite frustrating got line stability now with no drops but now this issue.

would post stats but I’m on a hh4 and it doesn’t show me much at all.

Generaaly  throughput not too bad, just seems to be intermittent, I am assuming it’s maybe just to do with congestion on the network, with everyone at home?

Just an update for yourself on the line in general, it has been excellent! Never drops anymore and getting syncs of 3.7, best I’ve ever had by a long shot. Think between yourself doing a few tweaks and open reach finally fixing a pole that was struck by lightning a few years back it has never performed better 😊

Just another wee quick question if you didn’t mind? My neighbours on both sides are now getting 4.5-5 mb sync speeds, mine seems to never sync more than 3680, was just wondering could there be a software cap on the by side at all because of past problems?

Thanks for getting back @w4481 .

I'm glad to hear things have improved. It's very unlikely there's a cap on the connection. DLM will increase the speeds over time to the maximum the line can handle. It's just a matter of time.
