There ate a growing number of complaints like this and no one is getting any sort of resolution.
Customers pay good money for an absolutely abysmal service.
I’m sick to death of my internet dropping out for 15 minutes or more, countless times a day.
I’m a teacher, trying to work from home. My wife is a government worker, trying to work from home. My 2 teenage sons are trying to school from home. It’s a bloody joke!
Trying to contact BT is a joke! A communication company? Get some bloody communications going then!
My internet has been like a yo-yo for weeks now. Been in contact with BT but to no avail.
offered a new 24 month contract to me last Saturday, which I stupidly took out .
Think I’ll call them tomorrow and cancel (within my 14 days) and go to $ky. cheaper and according to others that I know, much more reliable
Over £60 a month - P!ss poor!
@boybeckham i suggest you start your own thread detailing your problem, also include the home hub stats so one of the experts he can help you out
Hi @boybeckham,
Thank you for posting I'm sorry you've be been experiencing issues with your connection. I've moved your post onto your own thread where it will be easier to get help.
To get a better understanding of how the connection is performing and what can be done to improve things, please could you post the router stats as suggested by @Devon_Dave?
Thanks
PaddyB
@boybeckham I am sure that unless you go to Virgin, Sky and BT both use the same openreach external cabling network.
That is where you problem could be.
in order for the forum members to try and help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
have you tried connecting hub to the test socket with a filter to see if that stabilises your connection
do you use powerline adapters which from other posts can cause problems
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
