I have finally had enough of my HH5 reliability (or lack thereof), and after some research invested in a new TP Link Archer VR400 modem router. Many reviews highlighted how easy it was to set up.
Except of course, its not. Despite entering the same username and password (bthomehub@btbroadband.com pw blank) as is on my HomeHub, the TP-Link refuses to connect to the broadband.
Its not the connection, as when I put the cable back into the HomeHub, it connects. Unplug and pop it into the back of the Tp-Link, and it fails to connect.
Any suggestions before I return the router as faulty?

Did you select BT VDSL from the drop down list at the start of the wizard?
Did you factory reset the TP Link before making the revised setting? If not, it's worth trying and starting again.
In the isp list it should have BT_VDSL. At least it did with mine. I don't even remember having to put in a password.
