Decor 2600 in a power cut

Go to solution

I am thinking of buying a Decor 2600.

The User Guide says "You will still be able to make and receive calls but the other functions, such as Call Blocking
and the Answer Phone will not work at this time"

What about the Display Screen for Caller Display etc? Is that powered from the BT line and will still work, or does it need the mains input?

Hi, @Daedalus2000 welcome back to the community and thanks for posting, no the caller display function won't work on the Decor 2600 if there's a power cut.

Bear in mind that the analogue telephone network is due to be switched off by 2025, from then all BT lines will be provided via our Digital Voice service through a broadband connection which requires mains power to work.

Thanks

Neil
