Hi
My 87 year old mother in law has full fiber broadband and land line. As she liver in an isolated area with frequent power cuts a back up battery was requested. She received two batteries I assume one is for the ONT and the other is for the router. There was only one connection cable in both boxes. How can I either get another from BT or buy on somewhere?
thanks

Hi @m643usg,
Welcome to the BT Community
Yes in the case of FTTP both the Hub and the ONT will need to be backed up with the battery charge in order for the connection to continue working in the case of a power cut.
There are two different battery back up options, the white one is the Battery Back Up Plus and this would come with a 3 headed splitter cable which as long as the Hub and ONT are within 2 metres of each other would be able to power both and so only one cable is required in that case.
If the Hub and ONT are more than 2 metres apart or its two Battery Back Ups, i.e. the black ones and you have only received one cable, then in either case I would recommend giving us a call as you should have all cables required for the Battery Back Up supplied.
We have a help page which has instructions for setting up both Battery Back Up versions which you may find helpful.
