Re: Issues post firmware upgrade home hub 2

Not quite everyone @pmosb

Try as I might I’ve been unable to provoke it into anything unusual so far. At the moment it’s  downloading a movie to Sky Q, streaming to the tv in uhd, streaming a shopping channel on an iPad, and composing this reply all without any issues…..touch wood!

If it hadn’t been for wondering about the change to the hub manager UI this morning I wouldn’t even have sought out this thread.

I know seemingly irrelevant info can some times give valuable clues, so in case it helps, I only have 8 devices connected, 2 by Ethernet and 6 by Wi-Fi. 4 devices active at any one time is as high as it gets normally.

Perhaps it’s those with more demanding households that are struggling??

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade home hub 2

@Andrew600  What Mode are you on? 1,2,or 3?  Have you both 2.4 and 5 GHz enabled?   or only one.?  Do you have Smart Setup OFF? do you have smart switching off?  do you have a BT disc? and what version firmware are you on?

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade home hub 2

@Mwallwork   Your original post refers to Home Hub 2.  Your tags say Smart Hub.  To prevent confusion - which hub are we all talking about?

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade home hub 2

No problem here either. I have 3 devices on Ethernet, 4 devices at 2.4 GHz and 3 devices at 5 GHz.

The wireless devices include 2 security cameras, 2 Google Home speakers, Learning thermostat, mobile phone and a printer. It also has two Digital phones on DECT.

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade home hub 2

It’s a BT smart hub 2. Since updating I’ve switched the 5ghz channel back on as I originally left it off as had a sonos that had trouble with it. I’ve not had any trouble for over a week now

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade home hub 2

@pmosb

Firmware updated to V33 overnight 19 April

2.4 and 5GHz are both active and locked to my preferred channels to avoid clashing with channel 36 that Sky Q uses.

Smart set up has always been switched off.

I don’t have any discs.

HTH.

edit, missed one. It’s on mode 1

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade (dayglow UI) Smart Hub 2

@Mwallwork. Thanks. Can you amend your original post heading to state Smart Hub2?

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade (dayglow UI) Smart Hub 2

Update: Hi all,
I've had a PM from forum staff asking for more info and have just responded via PM.
Here's hoping someone realises they done goofed regarding the firmware.

Re: Issues post firmware upgrade (dayglow UI) Smart Hub 2

Hi

I've also noticed my wifi dropping and reconnecting. I have the My BT app and have noticed that my devices switches from 5ghz to 2.4ghz.

So I suspect latest firmware is unstable and needs to be fixed.
