Re: Latest update to Smart Hub 2.

You are probably one of the first.

As I understand it, there are too many Smart Hubs for BT to roll it out in one go, so it is staged according to line number.  Based on past experience, I'll be a week or two down the road.  (I'll start counting).

Checking...the previous update, as mentioned above, was the 13th of Jan.

Yes, that's right. January was the last update.

Re: Latest update to Smart Hub 2.

Mine's just done a 14 day restart and, as I expected, it's still v0.44...as I said, it will be another week or two before it reaches me.

Re: Latest update to Smart Hub 2.

I have this and all my Amazon items stopped working.  BT say not them, Amazon say buy all new....Echo show and Fire sticks! they were all fine before this update which came with new hub as my speed was meant to be 900...ish but was 33mbps.  I have never even seen any of this....sat here for days trying to sort now have found hub settings online and this seems to be the only thing other than its set to WPA2 and Amazon fire stick says should be WPA2 CCMP or WPA2-PSK I cant find either of these settings?

Re: Latest update to Smart Hub 2.

what router were you using before you got the SH2 that all your amazon devices were connected to?  did you connect the amazon devices to the the SH2 SSID and wifi password  OR did you do the easier way and change the SH2 SSID and wifi password to that of your previous router?

Re: Latest update to Smart Hub 2.

i already had the sh2 they just brought a new one to see if that was the problem.  i changed all passwords etc on each item with new details.  the echo show showed connected and wifi on but she kept saying having trouble connecting so in the end i did factory reset then when i tried to sign back in it just said timed out.  them amazon man no. 4 went through again and de-registered it now i cant re-register....he was the one who said buy a new one technology moves on!  I have spent about 8 hours on phone to Amazon and BT but nothing

Re: Latest update to Smart Hub 2.

Would it not have bee better to have put the SSID and WiFi password of your previous SH2, that all your devices were connecting to successfully, into the replacement one (latest one) to avoid any complications? That way avoids having to go through all your previously connected devices thst worked with the 'old' router.

Re: Latest update to Smart Hub 2.

maybe if the guy here had said that.  I have never had to do any of this my husband was the tech mind but he has advanced MS  he has lost his eye sight speech and any movement another reason i am fuming as we only have an older tv in his room with no ariel so i was using the stick to get him tv to listen to now he has nothing.   Can I assume that its the passwords etc and not the new update that is causing my problems then?
