Return of old handsets

I have just received new BT4600 handsets and understand that I can return the old handsets to BT for recycling. Could you tell me please how I do this?

If the old phones work OK why not take just them to a charity shop, I'm sure they'll be happy to get a few £ for them.

They are old and one of the 3 had packed up alltogether - that was the reason for replacing them.
