Hi
I am on fibre to house and overnight BT did an update to my SH2 hub
Although I have a good connection this morning the consequence of the update was that my devices that were connected to my Halo 3 discs had lost their connection
So I have now had to pair them again to the discs
Has anyone else had this problem?
Also is there a workaround to avoid this in the future?
John
Hi @johnld This is normal, your devices connect to the best signal at the time of the reboots following the updates. Given time they would have returned to the Complete WiFi discs on their own.
Hi
Thanks for your response
Unfortunately other than 3 devices that I paired again, the others has not yet connected to the disks
I will try again tomorrow and if they have not reconnected will re pair them
John
Hi @johnld You need to wait weeks rather than days. If the devices are happy connected to the SH2, are you sure that you actually need the Complete WiFi discs?
Hi again
Most will work ok but with a weaker signal
However I do have a couple of devices that do require a strong signal
One of them is located in my garage and relies of the signal from a halo disc to function effectively
John
Temporarily turn off the WiFi on the hub to force a change to disc
Hi
Thanks for that suggestion
I will give it a try in the morning when I will have a bit more time
John
Check your Wireless mode (Wireless) My own SH2 defaulted to Mode 2 as a result of this update and the black discs require Mode 1
Hi
Thanks for that
Just checked and I am showing Mode 1 on my SH 2
John
Hi
A thanks to those who sent suggestions
Overnight the devices that had lost the connections to my Halo 3 disks are now connected.
I must say it seems a bit crazy that when the SH2 is updated that this then creates a disk connection problem.
It then takes time for the disks to recover.
