Whole home white discs

Go to solution

Hello, im using the original white discs. My speed to my hub are 520mb and 73mb up.  WiFi sat next to the hub are 230mb and 70mb up.

The first white disc is connected via ethernet about 3m away . When I connect to the disc I'm only getting 89mb and 70mb up on wifi . Thats the same with any of the 3 discs.

Are the discs supposed to be faster than that ??

Thank you.

@Jamo10

That may indicate that the Ethernet connection speed on the original disc, may only be 100mb, or is only connecting to the BT Home Hub at 100mbs.

Does the Home Hub device listing, show the speed of the Ethernet port which is connected to the first disc?

Is the disc directly connected, or is there a long Ethernet cable between them, which may be restricting the speed?

Bear in mind that the wireless performance of the discs, may not be as good as the home hub.
