I have a BT Whole Home Hub (4 discs) to help improve my internet around our brick house, and I love it with no issues since I purchased it, goodness knows how long ago now.
We are on a third-party supplier (who we are very happy with) for our Fibre To House and the Whole Home Hub is connected to their router and nothing in the house other than the Hubs connect to their router. I can only use the Android App to get into the Discs, and the WHH won't allow access to them or the Man Disc via an IP address.
Now I am having trouble connecting a camera (to view a 3d printer remotely) to the network so that the same IP address is consistent as it is a real pain to have to scroll through the app to find the currently issued IP address, type that into the address bar instead of creating a shortcut Icon direct to it on my desktop.
I have renamed the gobbly **bleep** name for the camera to what I wish it to show but the address still gets changed randomly.
Now, my research has shown that I can't assign a Static IP address which I understand, no probs but the results that I have found say that there is an "Always use this address" function. I have scrolled through all the links on the App but can't find any reference to this.
Can anyone help, please?
Best

Address reservation is a function of your router, absolutely nothing to do with the BT discs.
You would be better off setting a static address on the device itself rather than relying on address reservation.
