hi, I have a 4disk whole home wifi setup, but the kitchen disk does reach far enough down the garden.
Can I run an ethernet cable from my router to the bottom of the garden.
Then plug the cable into a disk and connect a wifi plug to it for my summerhouse lights?
rgds Mike
It would probably depend on your router, as not all work very well on a long Ethernet cable. This is a BT Retail customer forum, so if you are with a different provider, you would be best to ask on their forum.
OK thanks, my router is a Virgin Hub 3.
Is the erhernet port on the disk for in coming, outgoing or both?

It would be best to give the WHW product helpdesk a call on 0808 100 6116 ( Mon to Fri 9am to 5.30pm and Sat 9am to 2pm) or drop them an email to: btconnectedhome@bt.com and they may be able to help.
As for the router Ethernet, you would be best to ask on the Virgin Media forum, as people on tis forum are using the BT Home Hub.
