"Rate the app" pop-up

BT Mail App V25.2.3
Android OxygenOS  13.1

Today when I opened the email app I was faced with a pop-up asking me to rate it.
Options were:
1) Give our app 5 stars
2) Leave feedback - we love feedback
3) Do nothing

1) No, it's not a five star experience!  I clicked for 2 stars but it wouldn't allow that. 5 or nothing. (Nice little scam)
2) OK, I do have some feedback. Clicked to leave some and a box opened with a cursor blinking away but no keypad, no matter where I tapped on the screen or the orientation of my phone the keypad would not appear, making it impossible to leave actual feedback. (Nice way to avoid negative feedback)
3) The only option remaining, do nothing and get on with my day. Yay, it worked!

Completely pointless exercise & waste of time.

Actual feedback:
1) The reason I opened the app in the first place was in response to a notification "Your friend nnn has added a new photo on Facebook, click to take a look."

Tapped on the notification and the email app opened but then went into a panic when indexing the messages in my account. It open 5 messages in a row extremely quickly, jumping from one to the next, marking them as read as it did so and ending on a completely different message to the one I'd received the notification for.

This is a regular occurrence, not a one-off. Result: a bunch emails are marked as read, even though I've not seen/opened any of them.

2) When I delete or move a message to a different folder using the app it automatically opens the next email, marking it as read. This behaviour is extremely annoying. I don't  want these emails to be opened, I don't want emails I've already read to be reopened either. Please provide a menu option to turn off  "auto-open next" so that I'm returned to the Inbox and can choose for myself which email to open.

Thanks

Re: "Rate the app" pop-up

In my opinion the BTMail app is a very poor excuse for an email app or in other words it is rubbish. It lurches from one problem to another.

In would suggest that you would be far better to use a superior free email app such as BlueMail.

I and others on this forum have been using BlueMail for years and I have never had one problem/issue with it.
