Many thanks to the moderators and experts on the forum who have been very proactive in getting some action on this matter. I have just had a visit from an Openreach engineer who had been sent to explain the situation personally; although we already know what he told me, it was nice to see that they appreciate the disruption that this is causing.
Yes, it is a serious fault at the Grove Park exchange.
There is no point in anyone testing or replacing their equipment as the cables to our premises are fine.
Speeds being delivered are as expected.
Up to 20 engineers are involved in rectifying the problem.
It will take about two more weeks to put right.
Thats great at least they acknowledge the issue.
I
Thanks @Frogmodem for the update.
Hi John,
Thanks for the update - unfortunately for me if I turn off my VPN I still seem to have the same issues with pages not loading.
Same issues persisting here too. Gmail still won't load. Random webcams that I watch are also reluctant to start. Google.com will load the search page but the little wheel in the tab just keeps spinning, indicating that it's trying to load Google services. This forum actually shows the same behaviour - spinning tab wheel for ages and then re-positioning the dialogue boxes etc. after about 5 minutes when the wheel finally disappears. The problem has definitely not gone away. (I rebooted my hub first thing today; left it off for about 30 minutes before reconnecting.)
Hi All, thanks for all the updates and the Moderators help. No change this side
Thanks
Several BT subscribers in my road report no change this morning. I don't think that whatever they did yesterday had any effect. The Openreach engineer did tell me that it would take 2 weeks!
Issue still persists, no improvement
