Hi, for the past couple of months my BT hub has been dropping out 2-3 times a day, but does quickly reconnect. I have been sent a new hub, been put on a less congested connection, & the other day an engineer fitted a new master socket bumping the broadband up from 24mbs to 34mbs.
The problem seems to be ongoing, & I have learnt that 3 neighbours that I know of are having the same issue in this warden assisted flats.
Can anyone advise on how to get this looked into?
Many thanks.
Search REIN and SHINE problems on ADSL/VDSL, malfunctioning electrical equipment can cause ADSL/VDSL routers to lose sync and have to reconnect…a typical example could be a central heating/hot water pump switching off and on ,( poor or insufficient electrical suppression) but there are many other possibilities…the fact others nearby are affected suggests this may be the problem, the electrical device may still appear to be working normally, just emitting electrical ‘noise’ .
You may remember this story of a faulty electrical device that affected an entire village , so if there is a faulty electrical device it’s not necessarily within your flat.

That is interesting, & I will take a look now. I wonder if solar panels on the roof of this block of flats could be an issue? I sometimes listen to a scanner radio to listen to civil Airband, & and sometimes there is a lot of noise covering lots of frequencies, & others online suggested these panels can cause issues when fitted with a cheaper device that they use. Anyway, I will take a look, & many thanks.
