I had full fibre installed installed in July. The install went across mine and my neighbours front garden where open reach dug a slit trench and buried cable directly. However on a section with paving slabs they have tucked the cable between 2 slabs and left it visible on the surface- over time dirt is working its way under the slabs and the cable now sits proud of them. This does not seem right to me- Im afraid the cable will get mown or someone will trip over it. How do I go about getting this rectified?
Just to clarify, are BT your provider ?
Yes BT are my provider
RFOD Cable can be installed Direct in Ground but all the Civils Teams I know, know it’s a bad idea and still use Gabacom Sub Duct.
Unfortunately Openreach are becoming very Stat Heavy on their Civils Teams, just like they’ve always been with the SD Teams.
This of course puts pressure on their guys to cut corners.
Call the FTTP Team on 0800 587 4787 and report the problem to them.
