Hi,
The street I live on offers full fibre to every house but my address. I currently live on the ground floor of a maisonette and I am limited to broadband essential. Is it possible to have BT install the full fibre?
It seems like maisonettes are excluded currently and I could understand if I was top floor but with ground access I don't understand why I couldn't get the better speeds.
If BT customer then enter phone number and post results

As you can see the dslchecker does not show FTTP is available to you. Are you sure it is openreach that are providing the fibre and not an altnet.
Try a neighbour's phone/address and post results from checker

Although Openreach survey an area for FTTP , including all property types , they can omit ‘difficult’ addresses at the build stage , intending to include those later.
If you live in a maisonette, it’s possible that it’s considered a MDU ( multiple dwelling unit ) and they are not normally picked up at the build stage , or if there are issues like obtaining wayleaves /permissions from the building owner , freeholder, building management etc again reason enough to simply leave those addresses out of the build .
Generally speaking the existing method of providing the copper pair service is the method used to provide FTTP , so if it’s a telegraph pole , the FTTP will be overhead, if an underground ducted fee , that will be used for the FTTP service, issues can occur if the feed is a DIG ( direct in ground ) cable , or if the existing copper pair distribution is from an ‘internal’ distribution point (this is common with MDU ) , or external wall blocks often terraced business property like shops .
If all the ‘regular’ property ( detached , semi detached, terraced but served from poles or duct ) have availability but maisonettes like yours don’t , it’s probably a deliberate omission, not a mistake.
You can use this Openreach form to ask why you can't get FTTP:

My neighbour in a flat was initally not able to get FTTP but used the form and OR said there was a capacity issue due to not enough ports being provided in the CBT - after a few months they increased the capacity and my neighbour could then order FTTP.
