Do I need to return my router

Hi,

 

I am soon to depart BT Broadband and phone after many,many years of being with them.

During this time I always renewed my contracts when they expired.

I received this email from bt

You'll need to return your kit
If you joined BT after 13 December 2019, please send back your BT kit within 60 days of your BT service ending, otherwise you'll need to pay a charge.

I originally joined bt long before that date.

My question is will I get charged if i don't return the router to them ?

If you renewed your contract after 13/12/2019 and received a. New hub since then yes you will need to return your devices
