Hi
It's my first post so not 100% sure how things work here.
Would somebody be able to take a look at my FTTP? I was initially on 500mb package and was getting 530/70 speeds and I upgraded to the 900 and now I get 915 download and 50-70 upload.
I've been in contact with BT FTTP team on the phone who advised me that they'd somehow put a 50mb cap on my line but that they had raised it now to 115.
It's been over a week and I've done several restarts of the ONT and SH2 (for up to 20 mins at times) and I still can't get any higher than 65-70 upload. I've also done a full reset on the hub, and tested while just having one PC connected with a CAT 7 cable. Download is working completely fine, I had a peak of 930 and very happy with that. Really would like to get the upload speed up to 110 where it should be at though, it's frustrating paying for a speed and not being able to utilise it when uploading my files.
Thank you - Luke.
I just wanted to note that I find fast.com highly inaccurate. Speedtest seems to be much more where the connection is at.
When actually uploading files the maximum I can attain is around 8.5MB (68mb).
Thanks - Luke.
Interestingly enough since I made this post, my download speed has only been sitting around my stay fast speed. Even during 00:00-06:00 hours 750mb lol
I don't really understand why I'm being capped like this, but okay.
Will a mod please look at my upload speed at set the cap where it should at. Thank you.
Hi @Shnoofeen, welcome to the forum and sorry you're not getting the expected upload.
We'll be happy to look at this for you to help you get this fixed. I've sent you a Private Message so you can get in touch with the Mod team.
Cheers
John
