FTTP Speed?
Hi All
Just been upgraded to FTTP last week.
Got 900mb at the router but only 90mb on the ethernet cables coming from the router ports. Have cat5e cables too.
WIFI speeds are only 40mb?
Any ideas please? Thanks

Re: FTTP Speed?
Did you create a PPPoE connection on the laptop?

Re: FTTP Speed?
It is what you need to do to connect directly to the ONT.
Google create PPPoE dial up connection W11 to learn how to do it.
Username is bthomehub@btbroadband.com and password is BT.

Re: FTTP Speed?
Were you previously on Fibre2? Sounds as though your account hasn't been updated. You need to call customer services.
The speed at the router is irrelevant, that is just the speed of the link between the ONT and router. It will always show 1000M.

Re: FTTP Speed?
Yes, but was your FTTC package Fibre2 which is an 80M maximum product which has probably carried over rather than moving you to the 900M package when you changed to FTTP.
