Hi,
I joined BT Fibre 10 years ago and would reliably exceed 70mb with Infinity 2, now 10 years on I am receiving 45mb with Fibre 2 and a guarantee stay fast of 41mb.
I have spoken to customer service who told me 40-45mb is only available from my exchange with a guarantee stay fast of 37mb.
So my questions are;
Why have my speeds dropped so much since Infinity 2 ?
And have I been "miss-sold" Fibre 2 if speeds for Fibre 1 are only available from my exchange ?
It's nothing to do with speeds that are available (from the cabinet, not exchange by the way) it is either due to a fault on your line or more likely, the effect of crosstalk as more customers have connected to the cabinet.
please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
Thank you for your reply,
BT have checked my line and reported no faults, What is "crosstalk"
Crosstalk is the detrimental effect one signal has on another signal within adjacent pairs of a cable. Google it for a technical description.
If you post the information requested by @@imjolly , we can possibly help further
Hi,
I have accessed my technical log, what information do you need ?
On the BT Broadband checker link my Telephone number does not work (don't know why) how do I find Access line ID or UPRN
Please post a screenshot of the 'Information' screen.
Try using the address option in the checker.
