Hi all,
I've had full fibre 900 installed for one week now, and speeds achieved are way below what they should be.
Typically I see ~90Mbs download and 80Mbps upload.
Wired connection is no better than wifi.
The home hub did have a significant period without being switched off (more than three days). In the last day or so, it's been restarted a few times following use of the Troubleshooting Tool. This says there's no issue with the speed to the hub.
I have an engineer visit booked for one week's time, but if I can sort something out before then so much the better.
Thanks in advance.
Paul.

What speeds do you get here fast.com
You can also try the MYBT app
Thanks for the response.
I just got 99Mbps on wifi using fast.com.
The My BT app tells me that the spped to the hub is 897Mb download and 112Mb upload; but doesn't say what it is to the device.
No real point in saying the speeds you are getting from WiFi, there are too many variables that have nothing to do with the ISP
Fair point. It's approximately the same using ethernet.
Silly question, does your device have GbE ports or just 10/100 ports?
Not at all a silly question as it prompted me to expand my knowledge a bit. So, I confirm the device does have GbE, but maybe it could still be limiting the speed due to hardware issues (as it is quite an old laptop)?
is the laptop connected directly to the SH2? Or are you using any switches powerline adaptors etc?
Yes, direct connection, and for a test all other devices disconnected.
Still sees a max speed of approx 200Mbps.
To rule out the hub being the bottleneck, connect the laptop directly to the ONT and make a direct PPPoE connection from the laptop. See https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/921/ if you are unsure how to do that.
