Just for clarity.

I have had contact with BT.

Fantastic service from a representative called Baron. He could supply better detail that There is a major fault as suspected. HOWEVER he could confirm that they ARE working on it currently and are expecting to resolve within the next 24hrs.

Also he resolved all issues with my myBT app.

Thanks to you all for your assistance and patience. Thanks to BT but round of applause to Baron.
