Hybrid connect
Hi, I have just connected my hybrid connect to my router but no matter what position around the house all I get is the 4G lights flashing red. Does the 4G need activating ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Hybrid connect
the hybrid connect only works when connected to the hub and the hub has lost internet connection. it is only a temp measure to keep you connected

Re: Hybrid connect
Thanks for your your reply.
My problem is that the 4G bars have not turned aqua but are flashing red all the time.
There is plenty of 4G signal to get something to connect to.
Any thoughts?

Re: Hybrid connect
It possibly hasn't been activated, have you called customer services?
Is it definitely EE 4G signal that you ' have plenty of'?

Re: Hybrid connect
I would check the hybrid connect has a sim in and is correctly placed in the sim tray, failing that see if you can get blue lights by positioning hybrid in a different spot in the house

Re: Hybrid connect
Hi,I have reset the hybrid connect but I have still got flashing red 4G lights. I went to the router settings and as can be seen it it shows two bars. Do you think this will work during a down time.I know I could try a test but would like to remove the flashing lights.
cheers,
Martin

Re: Hybrid connect
The hybrid will only work when your main broadband service has actually failed. It needs to connect to the hub even though it's not working, which is rather weird, but a BT engineer confirmed that to me yesterday. Has your broadband actually failed, or where you just trying the hybrid?

Re: Hybrid connect
Hi, As you can see the router confirms 2bars and is ready it’s just that the bars on the front are flashing red as if there is something wrong. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Hybrid connect
Hi. If the signal bars are red it means that there is an issue is with the device and you need to contact BT. I beleive that flashing red indicates a problem with the hub actually contacting BT via the mobile network, rather than connecting to the mast. Tim
