On the WAN connection screen what options do you have for Service Unit?

The manual isn't overly helpful here & is probably out of date.

Can you also screenshot the DSL Settings under the Administration tab please.

It should look something like this :-

The Service unit looks like different profiles it has from 1-8 and it changes the option of PPPoE to Bridge but i have the option to change it back.

I'm suspecting the fault isn't with your hub or the Asus. Sounds more like a circuit build problem.
