Is that Sky satellite TV or Internet?
If that is a Sky "puck" as they call it, for internet TV, they are greedy little things. I have one and it hogs 5 -6 Mb/s to itself when it is on. In standby it's not a problem.
The sky box is the cause for the lag. The sky box is needed though for my mother’s work as she has it on whilst working. Is there any solution we could do and is there any reason why the sky box is causing only my ps5 to lag?
The main cause is the one mini sky box in our back room. All the other ones do not cause the lag when they are plugged in. We have 2 mini sky Q boxes connected to the main one. These are all connected to the internet, with the main one being connected to the internet and the satellite.
The Q's obsolete anyway. Tap Sky up for a new one, perhaps?
i could do, what’s the main issue here anyway? I have another sky box upstairs which is the same one. Would swapping these around possibly change anything
I've no idea but I know the Q is regarded as old kit and one of them may have developed a problem.
If you are sure it is the Sky kit, you would be better posting on the Sky forum. Chrisee, TimmyBGood, Caesarome, cookiemonsteruk & JimM1 are all good. I'm sure one of them can advise.
If you are using WiFi, Sky Q uses channel 36. Make sure you are using a different channel.
100% it is the sky box as everytime i unplug it lag stops. I made a post in the Sky forum and i’ll see what they say.
This is good to know, however like i said i use the TP link adapters on my PS5, would this still affect it though, and i know we’re using channel 36 so i’ll give this a go and let you know, thanks for your help.
I did suggest changing channel some time ago.
