Don't these installations get inspected and signed off.

This is shocking.

@Lefty25

Doesn't look great but there may be rules around drilling near the electricity cable. Doesn't excuse the apparently wonky ONT though. @36ULW?

The router will undoubtedly be better located on the cabinet rather than inside. But if it worked OK previously...

Hopefully OR will agree to relocating the ONT but if not, you could fit a desk grommet in the top of the cabinet to route the cables nicely.

Edit
Seems I'm no longer allowed to post images. 🙄

@Anonymous

Images need to be approved before they will show in a post. It may take a short time to be approved.

There are none presently waiting to be approved so are you sure that it was uploaded?

@gg30340

My usual copy & paste simply didn't work & the long-winded camera icon produced a failed to upload error. So I don't know if there's a general issue with images this morning or just my account. But don't want to derail the thread.

Uploading Screenshot 2025-09-30 090421.png resulting in an error. Try uploading your file again.

I'm not sure if copy and paste still works since the need to approve has been introduced. Images won't be uploaded if to large .

Re: Poor standard of workmanship and positioning

C&P worked yesterday & didn't require approval, maybe due to my "status". Also a pic I uploaded yesterday produces an error today. Oversize images specify that, this is just generic failure. I suspect someone's been tinkering...

I've added the issue to the thread I created in The Lounge last week.

I wouldn’t drill out through that cupboard for a year’s Salary. I probably wouldn’t have drilled out above it either.

The positioning of the ONT looks a little lopsided and they could’ve used a Port Kit.

You’ll struggle to get that ONT moved into the Cupboard.

I have finally got through to someone this afternoon and logged a complaint, I now have a case number and someone is supposed to contact me within 3 days, I also noticed that he made 2 other attempts to drill the wall outside but not filled in the holes, overall it is a very poor job.

The hole on the outside by the drainpipe looks like the Tetra Anchor Hole.
