Hi Moderators,
I am planning to move my current home broadband line over to a BT Business Broadband account very soon. I am still within my minimum contract period on my residential account.
I am fully aware of the official BT group policy stating that internal conversions are entitled to an Early Termination Charge refund once the new business line has been live for 14 days. However, I have spoken to multiple front-line phone agents on both the residential and business sides who have told me this policy no longer exists because they are "separate entities".
Because of the conflicting advice from the call centres, I have not placed the order yet. Could a moderator please reach out to me so I can arrange this switch safely through the correct internal conversion path, ensuring my residential exit fees will be correctly credited back?
Thank you.
If you've not already done so, also posting this on the business forum might be useful.
