Use new router question

I've just upgraded my BT package and have now received my new router. Shall I remove the old router and use the new one now or wait till next week when they come out for the expert visit and let them set it all up?

Never mind. Having a idiot moment.

Just looked at the "router" and realised it's the smart WiFi device instead of the Wi-Fi disc.

Re: Use new router question

If you've got an expert coming out next week I'd leave it till then - so long as you've not been moved to digital voice and that is not working with the current router.  Depending on how you have things in the home set up, using the new router will mean either matching your devices to the new WiFi SSID+password or migrating the old SSID+password to the new device.  If you are paying for a home expert, then I'd make them earn their money!

I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!

Re: Use new router question

Hi @Reaper59 and welcome back.

It's been a while but great to see you again. I'd agree with @Crimliar on this. It's best to leave it with the expert. Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

David
