still waiting for a full fibre connection

This is a post for one of the BT moderators

Can anyone update me on the progress of the full fibre installation/connection order that I placed months ago?

**Edited**

After multiple delays and confusion Openreach finally sent someone to bring the fibre to the outside of the house (14th June).

On 25th July another Openreach engineer arrived to complete the installation. Cabling and a box were installed inside the house. At 7.30pm the engineer decided the connection could not be completed as there was a “problem” with the fibre somewhere outside the house

One month on and I’ve heard nothing since. My online BT account simply shows

“TBA: Pending/AwaitLinkedOrderCompletion

We cannot yet confirm the completion date of your order”

I'm ready to give up once again

Re: still waiting for a full fibre connection

Dear BT Community,

I am seeking urgent assistance regarding a significant delay in the installation of broadband services at my residence:

Order Reference: ********* in HUD / CP Escalation Reference: ******* Address:1 *******

The order was placed in October 2024, and despite multiple assurances of imminent updates, there has been no tangible progress. The delay is causing significant disruption, especially as reliable internet access is essential for my professional commitments.

I understand that the installation of a Connectorised Block Terminal (CBT) is pending. Could someone please confirm if this has been scheduled? If so, provide the expected installation date and inform me whether temporary road closures will be necessary.

Given the urgency of this matter, I kindly request that Openreach liaise directly with BT's Consumer Resolutions team at BT/EE to expedite the process.

I appreciate any assistance the community can provide to resolve this issue promptly.

Best regards,

Daniel Eyre

Re: still waiting for a full fibre connection

Hi Daniel

can't really help but some advice based on my experience where my original order in April 2024 took until February 2025 to get an installation up and running

With respect to the BT guys on this forum they didn't really help. No one took ownership, I was talking to different people every time, lame excuses given  .... you know the problem.

I used the online BT chat to keep harassing BT (who blamed Openreach) and threatened to cancel the contract unless things were sorted. That spurred some action

I also said I'd be putting in a formal complaint with OfCom (in progress)

Also remember that you're entitled to compensation of £6.10 per day for any delay - again you'll probably have to hassle BT to get this actioned.

Good luck!
