How to lock the sim?

I am trying to lock my sim. I don't remember ever setting up a PIN for this, and I have a new sim from BT, the PIN they sent for unlocking anything doesn't work. I have one try left and I'm stumped. Does anyone know when I this is set up or who I would need to contact to set it up? Tia

Hi,

Very important for security to set a PIN….

Most providers & BT do not set active.

The default for my BT Mobile SIM was (delivered by BT ) was  5555 ( then I changed it - and always use a PIN )

You can however, via MY BT obtain a PUK code - so if do get locked out - you will need the PUK code to unlock it ( so maybe get that first )
