Actual physical repair of consumer electronics on-site seems like quite an ask to me. The ability to perform an on-the-spot swap so the defective device can be removed for repair/rework/recycle would seem far more sensible, cost-effective, and frankly safe!
I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!
