mobile data not working

Just changed mobile phones to a moto g62 5g

cannot get internet when away from home. no internet services

very frustrating

Check your APN settings is "Everywhere". If it isn't, the manual settings are here:

Exact location of the APN can vary so probably easiest to simply use the search in the Settings menu.

have you checked phone that you don't have mobile data turned off

Issue seems to be resolved - I took the sim out, gave it a wipe put it back in

couple of things I did notice:

1 - although I could find the APN I could not edit the settings

2 - probably something I hadn't noticed before using android 10 is that once connected to wifi internet access via 4G drops out (greys out) which is what was confusing me. When I went for my walk this morning I definately did not have 4g connection as I was not able to send any whatsapp messages

I did all of that several times.

what seems to have worked is to remove/clean the sim
