During recent power cuts my BT mobile phone reverts to Emergency calls only whilst I'm at home. This doesn't seem right and I assume it is a setting somewhere in the phone. Can anybody help?

Were you connecting using WiFi calling? Do you have a very poor/non existent mobile signal?
@PP54 If the power cut effected the EE mast then you may be connecting to a different mobile network which will only allow emergency calls.
It might be worth taking your phone to an EE/BT shop if there is one near you and ask them to check the settings.
Many thanks for the reply. Just checked and WiFi calling is enabled so could be the cause. Have disabled it and now await a power cut🙂
Being a technophobe don't really understand what WiFi calling is but must have switched it on some time.
I would keep WiFi calling enabled but make sure you have your mobile provider connection as priority connection and not WiFi calling
Thank you Distinguished Sage, may I impose on your knowledge once more please? How do I prioritise the mobile provider (BT/EE) over wifi calling? Looked through settings and not obvious (to me). Recently at an event in a village hall and noticed the phone had emergency calls only, switched off wifi calling but made no difference.
