BT Essentials

My mother is pretty much housebound due to her mobility problems and visually impaired. She spends most of her days listing to RNIB talking books through an Amazon Echo Dot for which she needs an internet connection. She also has a landline. At present she’s paying £31.99pm for broadband and £7.98 for the landline. The only need for the broadband is really the Alexa connection - she perhaps receives a couple of emails a month, which she can’t read.
Looked at the essentials plan, only £15pm (a saving of £24!!) but she doesn’t receive any of the listed benefits, just attendance allowance.

Anyone offer any help?

Re: BT Essentials

@Payingtoomuch

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers.

The only BT Employees are the forum moderators.

Anyone can claim Attendance Allowance if they qualify, its not related to income or any other benefits, which is why she would not qualify for BT Essentials.

She should be able to get a better deal if she is out of contract, so its worth giving BT a call to see what they can offer.
