Broadband Renewal

Go to solution

I see from my BT account my contract for my Broadband service including Halo3 ends in a few months time. I can renew now and save approximately £8pm.

On completing the screens a note about service activation and sending me new kit caught my eye.
I don’t need a replacement router or the additional hybrid connect and wifi disks.

The pain of having to reset wifi passwords on well over 2 dozen appliances isn’t one I would really want to undertake unnecessarily.

Do I have to take the replacement hardware to renew my contract? (I appreciate BT will be looking for the old equipment to be returned.)

Any help appreciated.

Re: Broadband Renewal

You do not need to take it and I doubt they would send it in any event, it is just an automated message.

If however you ever do need to change in future all you need to do is go into the BT hubs settings and change its SSiD (name) and password to be the same as your "old" BT hub and all your devices would just connect to it as they would do with the "old" BT Hub.
