My identity has been stolen by a thief who set up a business account with BT, perhaps to intercept kit ordered to my address(?). I have received late payment notices for services and/or kit I have not ordered (I do not subscribe to any BT services), the most recent of which is a threat to refer the debt to a collection agency.
There is no apparent way to contact anyone over this. Online staff say they cannot proceed without confirming the email registered to the account, which of course would be the thief's, not mine. I have been directed to BT consumer scam pages which have nothing to do with business fraud or threats of escalating to collection agencies fro odebts I have had nothing to do with.
Who do I contact?
