Cancellation charges if I move into someone else's home

Go to solution

I am 3 months into a 24 month Fibre 2 contract. I have to move out of my rented flat (Landlord wants to sell) and into shared accommodation which has existing broadband. Am I liable for any cancellation charges?

Yes, quite substantial ones.

@dkrs

You could of course get your own connection at the shared accommodation,  that would allow you to continue your contract.

Speak to the BT home move team and see if its possible to arrange your own connection to your room. Make sure its arranged as an additional connection, and not a line takeover.
