Hi,
Hi,
This is a customer to customer self help forum
You need to be patient when calling customer services.
Don't believe that bit about 10 -20 minutes, the real time is more like 40 -45 minutes
A lot of businesses are suffering at the moment as well due to staff isolating due to covid so it may take longer than usual to get through.
Yes I understand that, but from banks, to service providers, to whatever else, services we are PAYING for might I remind you- it is not acceptable that you can be on the phone for almost 1 hour and still no answer. That’s a full lunchtime for someone or time before or after work morning and evening.
it’s ok if it’s a one off, but when it goes on for days and months, no customer should be made call day after day and sit there like a turkey waiting for nothing on the other end.
I came on for a solution from a BT representative , obviously this is the wrong community, I’ll delete the post.
it wasn’t an echo chamber to hear things I already know from average joes like myself.
As its Openreach that do the provision, you would have been given the next date that Openreach can attend. A two week delay would be about right for a new provision.
Most providers use Openreach, so the delay is going to be the same, there will be other customers ahead of you, and they could be from any provider, not just BT Retail. Moving to another provider will delay things even more, as you would lose your new Openreach appointment slot.
